Cartotecnica Ghio was founded in 1976 on the impulse of Giacomo Ghio, already founder and owner of the namesake box factory in Lumezzane in the province of Brescia since 1948. Cartons and boxes have therefore been a family tradition spanning 3 generations. Over the years we have always put the customer at the centre of our project. It is thanks to our clientele that over this long period of time we have grown and have been able to continue investing in new technologies and infrastructures. We have customers all over Italy and also the rest of Europe in countries such as Germany, France, Austria, and Switzerland.

Two production sites
Our packaging company consists of two production units in the province of Brescia and in the province of Cremona. The Brescia factory is located in Lumezzane and consists of about 2000 m² and the Cremona one, located in Grumello, is about 5000 m² of covered space immersed in a green area of 11,000 m².

Our attention to environmental issues has also led us to obtain FSC® certification for the responsible management of forests around the world. This certification guarantees the use of paper and carton from responsible forest management, without indiscriminate exploitation of resources for customers that request it. In addition to obtaining the FSC® Certification that guarantees the eco-sustainability of the materials we use, our attention to the environment led us, in 2010, to equip ourselves with a large photovoltaic system of 200 kW, able to cover a large part of the energy requirements of our production site.
